Cleaning the home stopped being a tiring chore a long time ago, and in 2026 technology has taken this comfort to a level that was hard to imagine a few years ago. The undisputed star of this year is the Roborock Saros 20, a robot that does not just vacuum, but manages the entire order of your home with surgical precision. At Altanet Craiova we have followed how the Roborock brand managed to eliminate all the little frustrations of older models. Innovation now means a device that "sees" the dirt before you notice it and maintains itself, leaving you more time for the things that really matter.
What impresses about the Roborock Saros 20 is how it fits into your life without you noticing it. If earlier models still got tangled in cables or stuck under the sofa, the 2026 version is a master of spatial orientation. This evolution turns the robot from a simple gadget into a trusted household assistant. Ease of use remains the key element: you take it out of the box, let it create its map and forget about it for weeks. It is the modern definition of a smart and welcoming home.
1. Ultra-slim design and hidden LiDAR technology
The most visible change in the Roborock Saros 20 is the disappearance of the classic "turret" on top. In 2026, engineers managed to integrate the LiDAR sensors directly into the robot's chassis, giving it an incredibly flat profile. This change, also praised by Wired, lets it go under pieces of furniture that no other robot could clean until now. You no longer have to move the bed or the dresser to get rid of the dust gathered in hard-to-reach places. The Roborock Saros 20 glides easily anywhere, ensuring total cleanliness in every corner of the home.
The suction power has reached a record value of 12,000 Pa, which means that no dust particle, however small, stands a chance. According to the lab tests mentioned by CNET, the robot uses a dual main brush that does not let hair get tangled. This is excellent news for pet owners, who know how difficult it can be to maintain the filters. The Roborock Saros 20 automatically adapts to the floor type, increasing power on carpets and switching to a quiet mode on tiles or parquet.
| Feature | Roborock S8 | Roborock Saros 20 |
|---|---|---|
| Suction power | 6,000 Pa | 12,000 Pa |
| Robot height | 9.6 cm | 7.8 cm |
| Mop washing | Cold water | Hot water (60°C) |
2. The smart maintenance station and maximum hygiene
The big innovation of the Roborock Saros 20 lies in its docking station. In 2026, it is no longer just about emptying the dust bin. The station now washes the mops with hot water at 60 degrees Celsius, eliminating bacteria and unpleasant odors. Afterwards, the mops are dried with warm air to prevent mold. This automated system ensures much better hygiene than manual washing. In addition, the station is compatible with the new smart home standards from Matter, allowing seamless integration into your home ecosystem.
The Roborock Saros 20 also uses an AI object recognition system, aided by RGB cameras and infrared sensors. It can identify up to 80 different types of obstacles, from footwear to the "gifts" left by pets. This artificial intelligence, analysed in detail by The Verge, lets it navigate safely even in rooms with a lot of furniture or toys scattered on the floor. The robot no longer bumps into objects, but goes around them gracefully, recalculating its route in real time for maximum efficiency.
Conclusion: the cleaning of the future is silent and invisible
The Roborock Saros 20 is the spearhead of automated cleaning in 2026. With its flat design, astonishing suction power and fully autonomous maintenance station, this robot redefines the standards of household hygiene. It is no longer just a home appliance, but a silent partner that makes sure your environment is always impeccable. True innovation is felt when technology works for you, without demanding your constant attention. The Roborock Saros 20 is clear proof that the future of cleaning is here and looks brighter than ever.
